Appearance: Grayish white to light tan.
Aroma: Woody and pungent, although milder than black pepper.
Flavor: Hot and biting, with hints of pine.
Use: White pepper is husked black pepper, and is used in cream sauces, mashed potatoes, or any other application where black flecks are undesirable. It’s also used in Thai & Chinese cuisine.
